Academic Background

I received a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I was part of the LASS (Laboratory for Advanced System Software) and the Sensors research groups and was advised by Prof. Prashant Shenoy and Prof. Deepak Ganesan.

I received a Computer Science M.S. from University of Minnesota, Duluth in May 2000 and a Computer Science B.E. degree in May 1997 from Pune Institute of Computer Technology (affiliated to the University of Pune).

Research

My general areas of interest are sensor and wireless networks, distributed systems and data dissemination. As part of my thesis, I worked on aspects of multi-tier hierarchical sensor networks, specifically using camera sensors.
