I have joined IBM T.J Watson Research Lab. My new email address is liming@us.ibm.com.
Academic Background
I am a Ph.D. student in the Computer Science Department at the University of
Massachusetts, Amherst.
I am part of the Sensors
(The wireless sensor networks group) and
am advised by Prof. Deepak Ganesan,
Prof. Arun Venkataramani. I also did projects
with Prof. Prashant Shenoy and Prof. Michael Zink.
I received a Computer Science M.S. degree in July 2004
from Tsinghua University (Beijing, China), and received a Computer Science
B.E. degree with honor in July 2001 from Harbin Institute of Technology (Harbin, China).
Research
I am working in the areas of wireless mesh networks and sensor networks
at UMass. Currently I am working on the Hop project.
I have also been working on the CASA project and the PRESTO project.
However, my research interests are broadly in the areas of networking and distributed systems.
I have worked in peer-to-peer networks, pervasive computing and parallel computing.
Awards
